BIOGRAPHY
Arguably the most dominant snowboardcross rider in the business, Lindsey Jacobellis started racing at age 11 at a local event held at Stratton Mountain. Four years later, she was invited to compete in the X Games. 

With a silver medal at the 2006 Torino Olympics, 26 World Cup wins, nine X Games medals (seven of which are gold) and numerous podiums, it is clear why Jacobellis has a strong hold on women’s snowboardcross. She has been dominating the circuit for almost seven straight seasons.

The 2012 season brought three consecutive World Cup wins to Jacobellis before a knee injury during X Games practice forced her to check out the action from the sidelines and even worse, miss gunning for a fifth straight gold.

LINDSEY SAYS
I was so happy with the way I was riding this past year, going three for my first three, but then unfortunately tore my ACL at the X Games. I am committed to coming back stronger than ever for the next season, taking each day by day.

FIRST TRACKS
Big brother "Benny" introduced Lindsey to riding in 1996. Now she's won the X Games more than anyone else, owns three World Championship titles and an Olympic silver medal. You could also credit Stratton Mountain School for a program that allows students to ride everyday and go to high school.

OFF THE SNOW
You can find Jacobellis indulging in fashion, shoe collecting, movies, and hanging out with her friends down in Encinitas during the summer.
